The decorative cushion DAWON is part of the series "La Dolce Tigre" by the artist Rebecca Duckett-Wilkinson. The design depicts a reclining tiger amidst stylised tropical banana leaves and flowers.
The tiger and the line drawing of the leaves are machine embroidered and offer a realistic representation. The leaf fillings are embroidered by hand in an additional step using the centuries-old "crewel" technique,
using a particularly coarse woollen thread which creates a dense surface.
The embroidery is done on a linen and cotton base fabric, which is also found on the back of the cushion.

60 x 40 cm, filling included.
Fabric: 35% cotton, 30% linen, 22% acrylic, 10% viscose, 3% polyester
